Day 01 :

Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Rainforest Zone | Distance: ~6 km | Time: 4-5 hours.

08:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Enjoy a comfortable morning transfer from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha to Londorossi Park Gate (2,100m) for official National Park registration, permit processing, and meeting your expert mountain guides and support crew.

07:30 AM – 08:30 AM: Hearty breakfast at camp, followed by a steady climb leaving the dense forest canopy behind to enter the heather and moorland zone.
08:30 AM – 02:30 PM: Cross several scenic streams and ridges before emerging onto the breathtaking edge of the massive Shira Plateau.
Afternoon & Evening: Arrive at Shira 1 Camp (3,610m) with sweeping western views across the plains below. Enjoy a warm dinner, evening briefing, and overnight under the stars.

Day 03 :

Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Moorland Zone | Distance: ~10 km | Time: 4-5 hours.

08:00 AM – 01:00 PM: Undertake a gentle, restorative exploratory trek across the wide expanse of the Shira Plateau. Wander through ancient volcanic rock formations while enjoying stunning midday views of Kibo's glistening glacial summit.
01:00 PM onwards: Arrive at Shira 2 Camp (3,850m) by early afternoon. Relax, hydrate, and participate in routine health monitoring checks (oxygen saturation and heart rate tracking). Dinner and overnight in camp.

Day 04 :

Shira 2 Camp via Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

Alpine Desert Zone | Distance: ~12 km | Time: 6-7 hours.

Day 05 :

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

08:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Embark on a steady uphill climb across arid, wind-swept desert ridges directly to Barafu Base Camp (4,673m), your final staging post.
Afternoon & Evening: Enjoy an early lunch, check and organize your summit gear, rest during the afternoon, and eat an early dinner to maximize pre-summit sleep before a midnight departure.

Day 07 :

Barafu Base Camp to Uhuru Peak & Down to Mweka Camp

Summit & Arctic Zone | Distance: ~17 km total | Time: 11-15 hours.

11:30 PM (Day 6 night) – 06:00 AM: Begin your midnight summit push, climbing slowly up loose volcanic scree switchbacks illuminated by headlamps to Stella Point (5,756m) and onward along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) right at sunrise.
06:00 AM – 03:00 PM: Descend back down to Barafu Camp for a celebratory brunch and well-earned rest, then continue your descent down through the alpine desert into the lush forest zone to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for your final night on the mountain.

Day 08 :

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate & Return to Moshi/Arusha

Rainforest Zone | Distance: ~10 km | Time: 3-4 hours.

07:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Gather for a final celebration breakfast and tipping ceremony with your dedicated mountain crew. Complete a pleasant 3-hour rainforest descent to Mweka Gate (1,640m).
