This 5 days itinerary delivers an intensive journey across Tanzania's most iconic wildlife ecosystems. Starting from Arusha, you climb through the Rift Valley highlands before descending onto the sweeping plains of the Serengeti National Park. You will devote two full days to tracking big cats and seasonal Wildebeest Migration movements across the Seronera River valley. Afterwards, you travel back toward the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater to complete a dawn descent into the world's largest unflooded caldera, maximizing your chances of spotting the full Big Five before returning to Arusha.

Day 01 :

Arusha to Central Serengeti National Park

Driving Time / Distance: Approx. 6 hours (335 km) via Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Game Drive Duration: 2 to 3 hours afternoon game drive.
Itinerary Description: Depart Arusha early at 7:00 AM with your private guide. Journey through rural farmland and ascend the Ngorongoro Highlands, stopping briefly at the crater rim viewpoint. Continue past traditional Maasai bomas into the endless golden grasslands of the Serengeti. Enjoy an afternoon game drive en route to your central camp, tracking cheetahs on granite kopjes and leopards along river channels.

Day 02 :

Full Day Exploration in Serengeti National Park

Driving Time / Distance: Localized tracking drives within Seronera Valley.
Game Drive Duration: 8 to 9 hours (Full Day).
Itinerary Description: Set out at dawn with packed breakfast or return to camp for a hot mid-morning meal. Search the acacia woodlands and Seronera Riverbanks for resident lion prides, hyenas, and elusive leopards resting in sausage trees. Track immense herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains, stopping for a hot picnic lunch at a designated park site before continuing afternoon tracking.

Day 03 :

Serengeti Morning Game Drive to Karatu/Ngorongoro Rim

Itinerary Description: Conduct an early morning game drive in the Serengeti during prime predator hunting hours. By late morning, begin your journey back eastward toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy game viewing along the Naabi Hill gate region before climbing into the cool, lush crater highlands for dinner and relaxation.

Day 04 :

Ngorongoro Crater Floor Descent to Karatu

Driving Time / Distance: Approx. 45 mins to crater entry; 2 hours to Karatu lodge.
Game Drive Duration: 5 to 6 hours inside the crater floor.
Itinerary Description: Descend 600 meters into the crater at first light. Explore the Lerai Forest, Lake Magadi's flamingo shores, and the open central grasslands. Track endangered black rhinos, large bull elephants with massive tusks, and active lion prides. Enjoy lunch near the hippo pool before ascending the crater walls in the mid-afternoon.

Day 05 :

Mto wa Mbu Cultural Tour / Return to Arusha
