This immersive 1-day safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha at 7:00 AM, taking you across the scenic Maasai steppe to the Tarangire National Park entrance. Upon completing gate registration, you will embark on an extensive morning game drive across the rolling northern savannahs and dry riverbeds to track massive elephant families, giraffes, zebras, and impalas. After pausing for a boxed picnic lunch inside the park, your afternoon game drive focuses on the floodplains and swamplands where lions, cheetahs, and diverse bird species are frequently active. You will conclude the tour with a late-afternoon return drive back to your hotel in Arusha.

Day trip from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM

07:00 AM – 09:00 AM: Departure & Scenic Transfer from Arusha

Depart from your hotel in Arusha in the early morning at 7:00 AM. Meet your professional African Alive Safaris driver-guide, receive a brief safari orientation, and embark on a smooth 2-hour drive (approx. 109 km) southwest across the picturesque Maasai steppe. Watch local homesteads and rolling hills give way to iconic acacia woodlands as you approach the park gates.

09:00 AM – 09:30 AM: Park Registration & Gate Formalities

Arrive at the Tarangire National Park entrance gate. While your guide completes park entry permits and official paperwork, take the opportunity to stretch your legs, use the restroom facilities, and admire the initial views of the wild terrain.

09:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Morning Game Drive & Elephant Tracking
